2013-2014 Member Hours
Your participation will be recorded as soon as you attend your first meeting, attend your first event, or submit a membership application.
Any discrepancies must be reported to liveunited@wayne.edu by the end of the month for which the discrepancy occurred. Service hours include hours devoted to service projects and fundraising projects.
Service Hours: These hours are a measure of the time spent at various Circle K events. These include meetings, on campus fundraisers, social activities, off campus volunteer events, etc. These hours are mandatory, and an active member must acquire at least 10 hours to be considered a CKI member. The member with the highest hours at the end of the year will be awarded a full Kaplan scholarship.
Fellowship Hours: These hours are a measure of the participation at various Circle K events. Fellowship hours are voluntary and will be awarded for winning activities at Circle K social events, wearing you t-shirt to various volunteer events, bringing new members to circle K meetings, or participating in blog posts on the CKI website. One fellowship hour may be earned at each event. The member with the highest hours at the end of the year will be awarded a Kaplan scholarship!
Remember it is important to maintain active membership if you would like to run for either an Executive Board or Committee Chair officer position.
