Rohit AnandPresidentMajor: Economics Major (Honors) Minor: Biology Contact: rohitanand@wayne.edu Biography: Rohit Anand graduated from Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, MI and is currently a sophomore in the MedStart (BS/MD) program in the Irvin D. Reid Honors College. He is currently pursuing a major in Economics and a minor in Biological Sciences. In addition to Student Senate, Rohit is actively involved in many student organizations on campus and spends his time volunteering and conducting research in Wayne State's School of Medicine. Rohit's passion lies in service and in community involvement. He is committed to bettering the college experience for his fellow students by actively engaging the student body to turn ideas into action. |

Abdullah FarhatVice PresidentMajor: Political Science Minor: Arabic Contact: eh6171@wayne.edu Biography: Abdullah Farhat graduated from Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights, MI and is currently a senior in the college of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He is currently pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in foreign culture. In addition to Student United Way, Abdullah is actively involved in many student organizations on campus including serving as the President of the largest student led organization at Wayne State, The Lebanese Student Association (LSA). He also spends his time interning at the Law offices of Farhat & Associates. Abdullah has a passion for the United Way’s mission; he believes that change is possible when we come together in a collective way. One of his future goals is to attend Wayne State University Law School. |

Hussien RamadanTreasurerMajor: Biological Sciences Minor: Business Administration Contact: eh5797@wayne.edu Biography: Hussein Ramadan graduated from Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights, MI. He is pursuing a major in Biological Sciences and minor in Business Administration. Aside from Student United Way, Hussein volunteers at Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute located in Detroit, MI. Hussein believes with the correct resources, we can increase and strengthen involvement and dialogue between our campus and Detroit's active organizations. One of Hussein’s future goals is to attend Wayne State University Medical School. |

Jessica HajPublic Relations & Social ChairMajor: Photography Minor: Graphic Design Contact: jessicat.haj@hotmail.com Biography: Jessica Tala Haj graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI and is currently a senior in the College of Fine, Performing & Communication Arts at Wayne State University. In 2011, Jessica launched her freelance photography business in the Metro-Detroit area. Rynita BohlerSecretaryMajor: Nutrition and Food Science (Honors) Contact: eh7410@wayne.edu Biography: Rynita Bohler graduated from Parkway Christian School and is currently a senior here at Wayne State University. She is a pre-med student who is pursuing a B.S degree in Nutrition and Food Science along with University Honors. Along with the Student United Way, Rynita is proud member of Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority Phi Sigma Chapter. She is also a Student Ambassador, GO-GIRLS Mentor, and Recording Secretary for the Golden Key International Honor Society. Rynita loves Wayne State and is passionate about making a positive impact in the city of Detroit. One of her future goals is to attend Wayne States School of Medicine. |

Ahmad NassarFounder & Senior AdvisorMajor: Nutrition and Food Science Contact: ef2724@wayne.edu Biography: Ahmad Nassar joined the United Way Worldwide in May 2012. He later founded the Student United Way at Wayne State University in September 2012 with hopes of furthering the organizations goals in improving education, health, and financial stability in the greater Detroit area. A native of metro Detroit, Ahmad works to encourage students to be a driving force in making the metro area a better place to live and work. In addition to the Student United Way, Ahmad is actively involved in several student organizations including the American Medical Student Association, Habitat for Humanity, and iSTART peer mentoring. He spends his time volunteering at various area hospitals and conducting research at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Ahmad is a 2010 graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn, Michigan. He is currently pursuing a degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences and further plans on pursuing a career in medicine. |

Mohammed KassemSenior Advisor of Information & TechnologyMajor: Bachelors of Science in Computer Science Minor: Mathematics Contact: er1091@wayne.edu Biography: A native of metro Detroit and a Graduate of Dearborn High School, Mohammed Kassem is currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. Mohammed understands that innovative technology is demanding and constantly changing, he hopes to develop innovative software that provides students with opportunities for education, skill building, and community involvement while connecting them with community leaders. Mohammed has developed a detailed experience in multiple programming languages including; Visual Studio C++, Python, MATLAB and WordPress to name a few. Mohammad’s passion for technology and software has led him to become a successful entrepreneur in the field. In addition to Student United Way, he is involved on campus with memberships in several student organizations such as the Lebanese Student Organization, Engineering Technology Student Organization, and CEO. Mohammed believes in giving back to his community; he sees many opportunities to advance the common good in his own backyard. Mohammed would like to be a leader in the technology sector for students. |
