Victor GreenDirector of Community RelationsVictor joined the Office of Government and Community Affairs as the Director of Community Relations in April 2005. In this capacity, he is the liaison between the university and the metropolitan area Detroit. He promotes the urban mission of the University through building, developing and sustaining partnerships in the community. Prior to joining Wayne State, Victor served as an inspector of internal affairs and community relations for the Kalamazoo Police Department. He was a board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Kalamazoo, an adjunct professor at Kalamazoo Valley Community College Police Academy and Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI, and a congressional assistant to Congressman Howard Wolpe and Congressman Fred Upton. Victor is a native of Detroit and a graduate of Renaissance High School. He holds a BS and Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University. |

Emily FerstleEngagement Training and Development Asociate at United Way for Southeastern MichiganEmily Ferstle is a Midwest girl loving work and life in Detroit. Described as “an up-and-coming leader in Detroit” by the CEO of Michigan Nonprofit Association, Emily is an action-oriented force of nature propelled toward the social and economic revival of Detroit. Emily connects people with passion for revitalizing Southeast Michigan to meaningful opportunities to create impact. In addition to her work in Southeast Michigan, Emily has served and led volunteers in projects in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and across the United States. Most recently, she led a team of student volunteers to help restore a home damaged by Hurricane Sandy with SpringFix, MTV and United Way Worldwide’s Alternative Spring Break program. |

Lisa MacLean, M.D.Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Career DevelopmentBoard certified in psychiatry and neurology, she was named the Mentor of the Year by Henry Ford psychiatry residents in 2006, 2007 and 2010. She was a 2009 nominee for the House Staff Advocate of the Year Award of Appreciation. She received her bachelors degree in Health Science from Kalamazoo College in 1989 and her medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 1993. She completed a psychiatry residency with the Henry Ford Health System in 1997 and served as chief resident from 1996 to 1997. She also practiced privately. Her service at Henry Ford Hospital includes director of Education, director of Residency Training in the Department of Psychiatry and vice president of the Henry Ford Alumni Association. She is a member of the Michigan Psychiatric Society, and has served as that organization’s treasurer. She also is a member of the Association for Academic Psychiatry and the American Association for Psychiatry Residency Directors.Hour Magazine named her a “Top Doc” in 2009 and 2010, and Styleline Magazine cited her as one of Metro Detroit's Best Doctors for Women in 2009. |
